What is Uno?
Give agents a goal, follow the work, and review the result.
Uno is a shared place for software work with AI agents. Connect your repositories, explain the outcome you want, and follow the investigation, implementation, checks, and outputs in a session.
You can start with a small code change, organize delivery in tasks, or work through a specification before implementation. Your team keeps the decisions and evidence alongside the work.
Your first session
Connect a repository and make a reviewable change.
Choose an agent
Find the role for code, planning, bugs, or analysis.
How work fits together
Understand workspaces, tasks, specs, and sessions.
Connect your coding client
Start and follow Uno work through MCP.
From a goal to a result
- Choose the workspace and repositories that own the work.
- Give the agent an objective, constraints, and checks that would establish success.
- Read progress and answer questions. Send follow-ups when the approach needs to change.
- Inspect the result, including changed files, outputs, and the checks that actually ran.
- Use your team's review and release process to ship the change.
A ready environment means the agent has somewhere to work. An accepted message means Uno has recorded your input. Neither establishes that the requested change is complete.
Pick a starting point
| Your goal | Start with |
|---|---|
| Implement a feature, fix code, or add tests | Engineering and a session |
| Coordinate a queue of work | Chief and Tasks (Alpha) |
| Agree on behavior before implementation | Product and specifications |
| Investigate a bug with evidence | Oncall |
| Review security concerns | Security |
| Understand a codebase or technical tradeoff | Code Intelligence |
Give work the context it needs
Use rules and skills for team conventions and repeatable workflows. Configure environment manifests for setup and secrets for credentials. Connect external tools when the task needs information outside the repository.
Some surfaces depend on your workspace, provider, or release. Check feature availability before relying on Alpha or preview features.
